Twitter card image not showing

Are you having trouble with your Twitter cards? Is the card itself showing but not displaying the image? Theres a simple piece of code you can add to your robots.txt file.

The code you will need is:

User-agent: Twitterbot
Disallow:

First you will need to allow Twitter access via the robots.txt file. If you have the JM Twitter Cards plugin installed you can simply check this in the General area.

Next you will need to access your files on your website, you can either use a FTP client or access it through a File Manager on your hosting account. We will show you on your hosting account.

Log into your hosting account and locate your File Manager. If you use HostGator you will find it under Hosting > Files & Folders then select Open File Manger.

HostGator file manager

Once in you will need to locate your Robots.txt file. You will find this in your Public_html folder.

Now click on the file and select Edit. Once you are in the edit area, go to the bottom (it may be empty) and copy in the code:

User-agent: Twitterbot
Disallow:

Select Save and give it a couple minutes and your Twitter Cards will appear like normal.
