Showing your active Twitter profile on your website can always lead to more followers. Twitter allows you to create a widget within your profile settings and supplies a ready made code for you to copy and paste into your website.
This guide will help you generate the Twitter timeline to be placed anywhere on your website but we will show you how to insert it into your WordPress websites sidebars.
So create your widget, simply sign in to your Twitter account, hover over your logo at the top right select Settings > Widgets.
Select Create New and you will have the option to select User timeline, favourites, list, search or collection.
Then you can make changes to the Username, options (Exclude replies, auto-expand photos) Height, theme colour and link colour.
Then Create Widget and you will generate a code for your widget.
Copy that code and go to your WordPress website dashboard, Appearance > Widgets drag and drop the Text box into the sidebar you want your timeline to appear and enter the code into the description.
Select save and your timeline will appear on your website.
